First Quality will technically be closed December 23 – January 1. By technically, I mean the phones won’t be answered and we won’t be available for pick-up orders or visits. But that doesn’t mean that Eric and Jeff won’t be poking around the shop most days. We just can’t keep them away. (Personally, I think it’s to avoid any work that needs to be done at home, but that’s just my opinon!)
We’ll be checking voicemail and web orders periodically over the holidays, and we might even ship a few orders so don’t think you have to wait ’til January 2 to spend all that loot Santa left in your stocking. Go ahead and get your order in so that we can get it to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for all your patience while we’ve been having trouble with our phones! What a nightmare! We’re finally back up and running, but we weren’t able to keep the numbers that we’ve had for years, so we’re starting fresh with new local and toll-free numbers.
If you’re local, international, or you just like to use your free long distance, you can reach us at 502-365-5022.
For toll-free calls, dial 800-836-5303. 5303? Hmmm? For those of you that have been with us for a while, those last 4 digits might seem a little familiar. We picked that particular number because 5303 is the address on Galaxie Drive where this whole thing began back in 1970 when Bill Sullivan first got interested in banjos. We’ve gone back to our banjo roots so it only seemed fitting to honor those roots as well.
PS – Just in case you’re wondering, the 836 doesn’t mean anything unless you’re a fan of extra-terrestrials then you might notice that the letters spell out UFO!Posted in News/Events - Written by Marsha Sullivan on December 13, 2013
We’re working to get the problem corrected, but it may be a couple of days. In the meantime, please place your orders on our website or send us an email at email@example.com. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
Thanks for your patience.Posted in Uncategorized - Written by Marsha Sullivan on November 20, 2013

They make turkey calls, of course! Check out the Derby City Calls website to read the story and see the awesome calls that Eric and Jeff and the DCC crew are making from all of our banjo leftovers.
