Instrument Repair Policy

First Quality Music is proud to have some of the best luthiers available for almost any repair or setup need that you may have. We specialize in banjo, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and mandolin repairs. Please take a look at the options below and do no hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding needs that are not mentioned. We will be happy to listen to your needs and provide quotes for those that are not listed.

All pickup installs are by quote only.
Prices do not include parts and/or materials unless noted.
Hourly Rate: $75/hr
As some jobs may need more work than usual, we will always contact you before doing any work that may require additional funds.

Instrument Inspection
All Instruments:		$35

Re-String, Tune, and Fingerboard Cleaning
All Instruments:		$20 (does not include cost of strings)

Set-up and Adjustments
Professional Set-Up and Adjustment: Includes new strings, fret dress, intonation, and neck adjustment		$200
Standard Set-Up and Adjustment: Includes Truss Rod and Action		$100

Tuner Replacement
All Instruments:		$20* (does not include cost of tuners)
		*Price may vary due to unforseen circumstances

Fret Work
Level, Re-Crown and Polish:		$75
Complete Re-Fret: Includes fret removal, planing fingerboard, cleaning slots, adding new frets		$275
Stainless Steel Frets:		Additional $50

Nut Replacement
All Instruments:		$75 (does not include cost of nut)

Bridge and Saddle Work
Acoustic Guitars: Includes set of EJ17 strings - different set requires additional funds		$100 - (bridge re-glue) $150 - (bridge removal and replacement of existing bridge) $75 - (saddle replacement - does not include cost of saddle)
Mandolins: Includes set of J74 strings - different set requires additional funds		$55 (does not include cost of bridge)
Banjos: Includes set of J60+ strings - different set requires additional funds:		$50 (does not include cost of bridge)
Electric Guitars: Includes set of EXL110 strings - different set requires additional funds:		$50 (does not include cost of bridge)

Banjo Specific Repairs and Adjustments
Capo Nails / Spikes:		$10/spike
Banjo Head Replacement:		$50 (does include head but not set-up)
