Heat and moisture can reduce a fine instrument to firewood in a matter of hours. Since standard cases are generally engineered with an eye toward shock protection rather than climate control, a protective case cover is often your best means of protecting your investment. Colorado case covers are manufactured with Dacron Hollofill insulation, virtually identical to the material protecting NASA craft from the rigors of space.
The standard versions of these covers are cut generously to fit a wide variety of cases, and come in any color you like as long as it's medium gray. Custom covers provide a more snug fit and are available in a wider range of colors. Covers have pockets for storing accessories and can be carried by hand, over the shoulder, or backpack-style.
