The multiple award winning Para Acoustic D.I. is a portable high-fidelity universal preamp/EQ/direct box that can make any pickup sound its best. The Para D.I. is an excellent preamp for almost any playing situation. It can be used with passive pickups or active systems, and works well with a wide range of instruments, including guitars, violins, mandolins and basses. The key to getting the best performance from the Para D.I. is to set the gain correctly for the type of instrument that is being amplified. Setting the gain too low can result in hiss (from needing to set the volume too high on the PA), while setting the gain too high can cause distortion.
